“Eco-friendly” is a broad description. Before booking, ask what products will be used, which surfaces they are intended for, and whether your preferences can be accommodated. Specific answers are more useful than an undefined green promise.
Ask for the product names or labels, how the team chooses products for your surfaces, and whether fragrance preferences can be discussed before the appointment.
Use a short product checklist
- Which products are planned for bathrooms, kitchens, floors, and glass?
- Are they appropriate for the manufacturer’s instructions for my stone, wood, or other finishes?
- Can we discuss a fragrance-free preference?
- Will a different product or additional task affect the quote?
- How will any agreed preferences be communicated to the cleaning team?
What does a product certification tell me?
The EPA Safer Choice label helps identify products whose ingredients meet its program criteria. EPA also offers a fragrance-free designation. Check the label on the actual product; a company’s use of the word “green” is not the same as a product certification.
Does eco-friendly mean every product is suitable everywhere?
No single label replaces checking surface compatibility and following product directions. Let the team know about delicate finishes and your product preferences before work begins. Do not assume that a pleasant scent indicates cleaning quality.
How do I request this from Mrs. Clean?
Include your preferences in the quote conversation. The team can discuss the planned service and confirm which requests can be accommodated. This guide does not claim that every product used by Mrs. Clean carries a particular certification.
